A lot of hills, and a lot of thorns.....                                                  More Pyrenees Coast to Coast By bike from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, a lot of ups and downs......                                                  More Road Rides At the start of 2006 I re-found an interest in road biking, however in 2007 work has been the priority with both road and off road rides taking a back seat with only a few rides between Ballater and Tomintoul - good hill climbs. Now with offshore work out of the way I have big plans to participate in a few sportive rides in 2008. In 2007 I only managed the Bealach na Ba, with a time that reflected my lack of fitness. A bit of a contrast with 2006 when I managed a respectable time. The 2006 Autumn Epic followed a weeks road trip travelling from the Atlantic to the Meditterannnean coast in the Pyrenees with Pyractif. An excellent week of riding with a lot of hills - supposedly lower gradients than in the UK but they just go on and on.......thanks to Steve and Brenda Mead for making it a good trip. In 2008 I would also like to ride either the Etape de Tour, Telemark Tour, or the Trondheim to Oslo Styrkeproven.
